The music video below is one of hundreds over the last few years that
express the joy of being Jewish. Given the scars of the Holocaust, how is this
ebullient expression of love for Judaism possible? Unless we are in a whole new era, and the
sorrows of the past are done. Lezion Berina, a high school in Israel for boys
from the former Soviet Union, produced this video. Its title is: "Learning
what it means to be a Jew." Above all it emphasizes the theme of
unity,...no matter what the garb and what the appearance, and what path each
one takes, the Jewish people are one.
