WELCOME!

Among the most exciting moments in this process of Redemption is watching the pieces come together. Anyone can do this. (You don't have to be a prophet!) Just by being an observer of the human scene,...current events, talk radio, internet news and daily experiences,--all this can be eye-opening about how the Rebbe's prophecy is being fulfilled.

13th Century Prophecy Regarding the Turmoil in the Middle East

In Genesis, Chapter 25, verses 17 - 18, a noted Biblical commentator known as the Bal HaTurim (1269 - 1343) wrote that in the era of the Redemption, when Arab leaders begin to fall, the strength of the Messianic King will accelerate. The verse and "the  Tur's" comments are as follows:

"These were the years of Ishmael's life: a hundred and thirty-seven years, when he expired and died and was gathered to his people. They dwelt from Havilah to Shur, - which is near Egypt - toward Assyria; over all his brothers he dwelt."
- Torah Portion Chaya Sarah

"Over All His Brothers He Dwelt." ...This teaches that when Ishmael's descendents fall in the end of days, then (Moshiach) the descendent of King David, of the offspring of Issac, will flourish.
- the Bal HaTurim

Just as the Alter Rebbe, the first
Rebbe of Lubavitch predicted,
news of the actual coming of the
Messiah will appear in the

Arab unrest signals Messiah's coming'

Are Arab leaders being punished for religious persecution? Prominent rabbis offer explanations for Mideast uprisings

Prominent rabbis from the Lithuanian ultra-Orthodox sector have offered their own curious interpretations for the upheaval that is spreading through the Middle East, stating that the events are a clear proof that a higher power is at work.

Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, an unconventional Lithuanian leader who is believed to have mystic powers, offered a different explanation. "It is evident that many unnatural things are happening," he said. "People have come to me and said that it's 'Gog and Magog'. We cannot know. But it's probable that any unrest that God creates shows that the Messiah is coming, and that we must begin to prepare for it and become stronger."

Survivors Demand French Railroad Confess to Role in Holocaust

Yes, for the world to be ready for the Redemption, the nations need to apologize to the Jewish people for the Holocaust.

Law firm takes Holocaust case to Congress

"France's national railway, SNCF, transported more than 75,000 individuals to death camps while the country was occupied during World War II. Since 2000, survivors in the United States have fought for the company to acknowledge and pay reparations for its actions during the war by challenging it in federal courts. "

When a bipartisan group of Maryland lawmakers introduced a bill last week requiring companies that bid on commuter rail contracts to disclose whether they once transported victims to Nazi concentration camps, it was a small victory for survivors who for more than a decade have tried to hold a French railway accountable for its role in the Holocaust.
It was also a victory for a group of attorneys and policy professionals at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, which for five years has represented more than 600 survivors and their family members in the courts, state legislatures and on Capitol Hill. As many as 30 people at the firm have been involved in the case, putting in roughly 1,300 hours in 2010 alone. (The Baltimore law offices of Duane Morris have also offered assistance.)

Holocaust Survivors: France's Train Company Owes Us 'Blood Money'

Jan 26, 2011 – 3:56 PM

NICE, France -- Some survivors of the French trains used to deport 76,000 Jews to the death camps during World War II are angry about what was billed this week as the first public apology to them by the SNCF, France's national railway company.

They believe that SNCF President Guillaume Pepy did not take true responsibility for the train company's role in Jewish deportations when he spoke at a ceremony Tuesday.

French SNCF president Guillaume Pepy (C) gestures near Bobigny's mayor Sylla Grinberg (R) during a ceremony organised by France's state-owned rail company SNCF, to launch a project to transform an old railway station into a memory place on January 25, 2011 in Bobigny, outside Paris, to pay respect to the 22.000 Jews of Drancy camp, deported from that place to the gas chambers in Nazi camps. As SNCF has expressed remorse for hauling thousands of Jews to their deaths in Nazi camps, the company insisted it had been forced by France's World War II German occupiers to help deport 75,000 French Jews to the gas chambers, and noted that 2,000 of its own rail workers were executed. The event took place in an old train yard near a warehouse in Bobigny from which about 22,400 Jews were sent to their deaths in 1943 and 1944.

Messiah Roils the Art World.

The battle continues over efforts of Chabad-Lubavitch to have the sacred books and manuscripts known as "the Schneerson library" returned from Russia. The Russians continue to resist although this year, 5771, on the eve of Yud Tes Kislev the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus, they passed a law mandating the return of religious property to its rightful owners. Impact on the Schneerson library has yet to be seen. However,
the American court has recently ruled in favor of Chabad Lubavitch, which has angered Russian authorities. This issue has affected the art world. Russia now refuses to lend famous paintings because authorities are afraid the artworks will be seized as hostage until the Schneerson library is returned to Chabad headquarters in New York.
This news received broad coverage, including the New York Times and the Village Voice, which said,  "Considered by some Orthdox Jews to be the Messiah, Schneerson died 16 years ago, but.... Many of his followers don't even think he's dead..."

Russia Bans U.S. Art Loans In Battle Over "Messianic" Archive

The Russian State Library in Moscow currently houses the Schneersohn library.

Russia objects to the claims of the Chabad-Lubavitch organization being settled in a U.S. court, which it claims has no jurisdiction over the matter. Russian authorities have asserted that the collection belongs to the state because Schneersohn had no heir at the time that he left the country. However, the Rabbi had three daughters, and his son-in-law Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson became the leader of the Lubavitcher movement following his death. Menachem Schneerson... is revered by some Lubavitchers as the messiah.

It should be noted that many Hasidim believe Rabbi Schneerson to be a saint, and the library collected by him and his descendants – a religious shrine. Hasidim believe that the collection will open mystic prophecy that will enable them to expand their influence in the world

Russia Threatens Over Chabad Library
Russia said on Thursday it would not send any new art exhibitions to the United States until the two sides had settled a dispute over the return of the Schneersohn Library to New York.
15 Shvat 5771 (20.01.2011)
MOSCOW - RUSSIA said on Thursday it would not send any new art exhibitions to the United States until the two sides had settled a dispute over the return of a Jewish library to New York.

A US judge ruled in August that the Russian government must return an archive that once belonged to a Chabad-Lubavitch rabbi but was seized by Soviet troops in Nazi Germany. The vast library is being claimed by a Hasidic group in New York but the Russian government insists that it is a part of its state archive.

Russian Culture Minister Alexander Avdeyev told Moscow Echo radio that Moscow imposed its US exhibition restriction in August and that the order remains in place. 'We stopped sending exhibitions to the United States in August (because) one American organisation made a completely illegitimate claim on this collection of books,' Mr Avdeyev told the radio station.

Russia had no intention of ceding the library 'which has never left Russian territory ... because we have our own believers who respect these books no less' than do Jews in the United States, he added.

Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight, who accompanied Huckabee to Israel, said he was “very proud to be here with all of you who stood for justice and for the legacy of the Jewish people.

And when I see you I think of all the great ones, for so many centuries, who had a dream to pass on the legacy to the next generation, and labored hard and suffered and sacrificed.”

Voight concluded his remarks to loud applause by saying, “And now you are here, this is your time, and you are doing what you should be doing, which is to prepare the next generations and to be the hope of the world that you are. I love you all.”

Construction on the new residential neighborhood commenced some three weeks ago, after the Jerusalem municipal planning board granted a permit for 18 apartments in three buildings, primarily for married students at Beit Orot. The entire complex will be named the Irving Moskowitz Yeshiva and Campus– Yeshivat Beit Orot, after the primary benefactor.
